Our Heritage!

In the mid 1800s Raccoon Ford was a center for commerce and a traditional crossing over point on the Rapidan River. During teh Civil War, it served as a staging area for troop movement and was a strategic center for revival. Ten thousand soldiers came to Christ.  It is our desire, as a church, to tap into these historic wells of revival and to serve as a center for its operation in our day.

Our Vision!

The mission of the church of Jesus Christ is the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20) - the mandate is teh Great Commandment (Matt. 22:36-40). These two ideals superintend all that we do.  We envision being a church that walks in the culture of the kingdom every day, that helps believers understand and fully realize their destiny, and that helps non-believers come to Christ and enjoy fruitful and productive lives in teh vineyard of God.

The phrase, "the graveyard to the vineyard" describes this journey.  Together, we will love God wholeheartedly.  We will love one another unconditionally.  We will puruse the lost sacrificially, and we will steward the resources God has given.
